Coronation Street aired tragic scenes on the ITV soap this week, as Imran Habeeb died after a car accident - with his wife Toyah Battersby now a key suspect.
As the police investigated the crash and realised the brakes were not applied seconds before impact, they questioned whether Toyah deliberately crashed the car.
But some eagle-eyed viewers noticed something, or someone, at the scene of the crime on Wednesday in the aftermath of the crash.
In fact there were two mystery people there, who watched on as Imran cradled an injured Toyah in the road and cried - yet neither of them went over to help.
Viewers noticed someone driving a black car approaching the road where Toyah and Imran had just escaped the car wreck.
The driver looked down the road at them before driving off, and didn't stop to check on the pair.
Another person was seen walking past in the distance, and on to the road where the car had just driven from and yet again, this person did not stop to help and kept walking.
Viewers watching at home were suspicious about this, given both of them saw Imran and Toyah, clearly injured, and they must have heard the impact too.
Many fans questioned whether one or both of these mystery witnesses could return later and spill the truth about what went on.
Others wondered if the person in the car may have actually caused the crash, and driven off to hide their crime.
There was speculation that the driver might have been Ben, who Imran was about to land in trouble over their lies in court about Abi Franklin.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Not sure. The driver of the mysterious black car which saw the accident & didn't stop to help may be to blame."
Another tweeted: "I wondered about that car. The way he stopped, looked then drove off. I thought, ‘hello, what’s his game’. Very mysterious."
A third fan added: "I was thinking the same the mystery car. Any Surveillance Camera that can shed light on what happened?"
Another theory read: "Did anyone notice that black car driving off just near where the crash happened? - could be someone rammed them off the road."
Meanwhile a fifth viewer tweeted: "When they got out of the car after the crash there was a black car that stopped for a long time behind them , then left quick when police sirens . Mistake or the person that caused the crash."
Others shared thoughts on Ben being the driver, or that maybe he tampered with the brakes - but the police ruled this out.
