Coronation Street 's Amy Barlow will report Aaron Sandford to the police next week, after he raped her in disturbing scenes earlier this month.
Aaron had sex with Amy while she was passed out following a day of heavy drinking, and she did not give him consent.
Despite Amy clearly being out of it and not even being conscious, Aaron had sex with her before claiming they were as drunk as each other.
He cruelly lied that Amy instigated sex with him, knowing full well he had slept with her without her being able to consent.
Amy has struggled since and has kept her ordeal to herself, but next week her loved ones begin to notice something is wrong.
When her cousin Adam gives her a friendly squeeze, she flinches - leading to her other cousin Simon asking her about her reaction.
Amy ends up snapping at him, and it's spotted by her mother Tracy who later urges her to tell her what is going on.
Meanwhile, a text from Aaron to Amy encouraging her to move on is spotted by his girlfriend Summer and she demands answers.
Aaron admits he slept with Amy but fails to tell Summer the whole truth, making it out as though he and Amy had a one-night stand.
As a furious Summer confronts her best friend, Amy bursts into tears as everything comes flooding back for her - as she tells Summer she's got it all wrong.
Amy then confesses to mum Tracy that she was raped by Aaron leaving her horrified, with Amy describing how she passed out drunk and Aaron took advantage of her.
Her father Steve McDonald soon learns the truth, and he and Tracy urge Amy to report Aaron to the police.
With the support of her mother, Amy enters the police station and says she wants to report a rape.
But there's heartache ahead as the next day, Summer accuses her friend of lying that she was raped and demands that Amy apologises for sleeping with Aaron.
Amy explains she never consented to sex with Aaron and the police are taking her allegation seriously, so will Summer believe her?
Later, having scrutinised Amy’s phone, DS Swain asks some awkward questions making Amy feel like the guilty party.
Amy is left feeling as though she isn't believed, but will they go ahead and pursue the case against Aaron?
