Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has barely spoken to his ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson ever since she reportedly left him for another man.
The former couple, who share six-year-old daughter Sienna, have publicly locked horns recently, but their spat has been going on ever since they split in 2018.
It's said that the pair now communicate exclusively through text message.
An insider told The Sun: "Alan has kept his counsel for a long time.
"The rumours that Lucy and Lewis were close before she split from Alan were going around at the time but Alan always played a straight bat and said nothing.
"The reality is that him and Lucy barely speak these days and only interact via text."
Alan and Lucy-Jo's recent spat came after her new partner Lewis Devine appeared to refer to Alan's daughter as his own.
Hollyoaks star Lucy-Jo welcomed her first child with Lewis, a baby boy, earlier this month.
And Lewis shared his delight on Instagram, writing: "Our Sienna is delighted and is already making the best big sister, just like I knew she would!”
But Alan appeared to take a lot of issues with Lewis referring to Sienna in the way he did.
He fired back on his own Instagram account: "You’re welcome to keep the lying cheating one & call her your own! But not my daughter."
Lewis later appeared to hit back at him with a cryptic message about being kind.
He wrote on social media: "A massive thank you to all our friends and family for everything we love you all so much! Also a big thank you for all our lovely gifts we are very lucky to have so many kind people in our life xx."
He then re-posted a meme famously shared by Caroline Flack before her tragic death, which read: "In a world where you can be anything, be kind".
Lewis added: "THIS IS SO TRUE XXX."
Alan and Lucy-Jo had coupled up way back in 2002 after meeting on the set of Corrie.
They tied the knot in 2009 and split in 2016. They rekindled their romance that same year, but split for good in 2018.
Lucy-Jo announced after her split from Alan that she was dating actor Lewis.
They met while starring together in pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 2017.
Alan has also moved on, and is dating Tisha Merry, 25, who he also met on the Corrie set.
Mirror Online has contacted Alan and Lucy-Jo's representatives for comment.
