Corrie favourite Alan Halsall looked a world away from the famous cobbles as he stepped out of a helicopter at Cheltenham Festival.
Alan is best known for tinkering with cars as mechanic Tyrone Dobbs. But he cut a very different figure as he swapped the overalls for a sharp suit as he stepped out of a chopper at Cheltenham.
Alan shared a slow motion clip of his arrival with the iconic James Bond theme music. And fans think the search for the new Bond could well now be over after Daniel Craig took a final bow as the legendary M16 agent.
"Annual slo mo walk w***er ! #cheltenham," Alan joked. And the compliments came flooding in.
jez_edwards said about the clip: "No awkward ducking for you fella! But that is how to arrive! Get in!" sam84mully praised: "Looking sharp pal."
sharpyj22 said: "Looking suave big man!" ally_t_scott told him: "Looking very dapper."
paulineharper1958hotmail.com_ said: "Handsome young man our Tyrone xx" And pamela.rose1 remarked: "I think we've found the next James Bond lol."
Alan, 39 from Walkden, has played lovable Tyrone since 1998. Last year the reliable partner of Fiz Stape caused jaws to drop when he embarked on an affair with lodger Alina Pop and she fell pregnant with his child.
Alina suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage following a fire at their flat started by Fiz's daughter Hope. Then his devastated girlfriend realised he still had feelings for his ex and she left to return to her family in Romania after dropping a final bombshell that she was pregnant again.
When Tyrone chased after her to her hotel she told him she had her dates mixed up and she wasn't expecting after all. But there was a twist at the airport when Alina turned down the wine list at the airport and ordered a soft drink before softly placing her hand on her stomach, indicating she was pregnant after all.
In real-life Alan has been dating former co-star Tisha Merry for almost three years. They went public in May 2019 at Chesney Brown actor Sam Aston's wedding.
Alan has an eight-year-old daughter Sienna with his ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson, who played Katy Harris in Coronation Street and now plays Donna-Marie Quinn in Hollyoaks.
