Coronation Street viewers finally learned what George Shuttleworth had been hiding on the ITV soap in recent scenes.
They had predicted all sorts after his weird behaviour made it clear something was going on.
From a secret woman in his life to predictions about his mother, fans were unconvinced about George's story about his needy cat.
So when scenes this week confirmed what the character's real secret was, many were left disappointed.
It was confirmed the reason he was refusing to stay at partner Eileen Grimshaw's house was because he was a loud snorer.
Eileen was stunned and told him: "I've been married to a serial killer, I can live with a bit of snoring."
"No, you can't. I think it's best we just leave it there," he added, but Eileen insisted: "Your staying over. The neighbours can think what they want. I'll find a way to help, I promise."
George had confided in Todd about just how loud his snoring was, and some viewers were soon left amused by it.
But there's more to come it seems, as George sparks worry yet again next week with his behaviour - despite his secret being out.
Spoilers for next week confirm he makes a huge mistake at work and is called out by Todd, leaving to another confession.
George finally admits that he’s been staying up every night so as not to subject her to his snoring, after Eileen wrongly believes the snoring just hasn't been that bad.
But how will she react to this, and just how bad can the snoring be?
Viewers were hoping for a much bigger or darker secret for the character, and took to Twitter on Monday to share their disappointment.
One viewer tweeted: "What a really lame story line… of all the things George could be hiding it was no other than his snoring!! Come on #corrie is that the best you can do?"
A second agreed: "George 's secret was snoring. Nicky's secret was better," as a third added: "I know this is supposed to be funny but it’s just plain old boring!"
Another fan wrote: "Snoring! That’s George ’s dark secret? What a let down."
