Corrie killer Stephen 'could implicate Audrey' in Teddy's murder as he strikes again

Coronation Street actor Todd Boyce has teased other characters could find themselves implicated in Stephen Reid's crimes, after his latest murder.

His character kills Teddy in shocking scenes ahead, months on from murdering his son Leo after a row.

Teddy gets too close to the truth after a recent attempt to kill him, and Stephen takes action resulting in another death at his hands.

Fans will see Stephen brutally attack Teddy as he prepares to call the police, regarding his suspicions that Stephen killed his son Leo who remains missing.

With Teddy now dead, it's another crime for Stephen to cover up - but actor Todd has spilled that other characters could find themselves blamed for his latest crime.

Speaking to The Mirror and other press, Todd confessed Stephen is left panicked when around 10 characters end up coming close to finding the body.

Not only that but, Stephen's mother Audrey has a chance of being implicated in the death if things go wrong - while details on this are not clear.

Todd told us: "10 characters come in very close proximity to the dead body unwittingly, [it's comedic]. It's Hitchcock, it's really black and your heart is in your throat.

"And it's funny all these people have no clue. Some people help me… Audrey could be implicated if things go wrong."

Teasing what was ahead for the next year following the murder, Todd hinted the killings may stop for a while and he might not be found out just yet.

He explained: "I am hugely looking forward to it. I can't give much away but there is a lot, and I think generally speaking there is an impatience for the murderer to be found out. The tease is to stretch that out and go back to some sort of normality."

On how long it could be before the truth is exposed, he added: "Quite a while," while the soap teased there was a "long way to go" with "lots of twists and turns", and possibly another murder.

It comes after soap boss Iain MacLeod teased what was ahead for Stephen, and told us: "Everyone should be worried. The whole cast is worried. Needless to say no bodies ever stay buried for long.

"[He becomes] increasingly desperate across the next 12 months or so, there is lots and lots to come."

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
