Coronation Street fans believe they have rumbled a sinister twist involving new character Lydia on the ITV soap.
The character has a clear history with Adam Barlow, but it seems she is hiding a secret amid her blossoming friendship with Adam's wife Sarah Platt - as well as her new romance with Adam's uncle Daniel Osbourne.
Rebecca Ryan's character debuted last month with her young son, sparking suspicions Adam might be the father.
It's known they dated for six months while at university, while Adam claims to not remember their time together.
They've had a couple of awkward run-ins too recently, amid Corrie boss Iain MacLeod teasing a Fatal Attraction style storyline ahead for those involved.
Now, fans think they have worked out something sinister going on, and they believe some characters could be at risk.
Some fans questioned if Lydia was using Daniel to simply get close to her ex Adam, suggesting she was up to something.
Others wondered if Daisy Midgeley's upcoming kiss with ex Daniel, which could be spotted by Lydia, might land her in trouble with the newcomer.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Something is telling me that Daniel needs to watch his back with Lydia on the scene now."
Another tweeted: "Is this Lydia sniffing round Daniel to get closer to obvious baby daddy Adam???????"
A third agreed: "Lydia totally sniffing around Daniel to get closer to Baby Daddy Adam potentially? Bunny boiler alert!!!"
Meanwhile, a fourth fan commented: "Who is getting psycho vibes about Lydia... watch your back Daisy."
This was echoed by another tweet that read: "I really did not like the look of that kitchen knife she was(wielding) using......watch out Daniel..."
The comments kept on coming too, with another fan writing: "Is Lydia going to be one of those bunny boiler women?"
On what's ahead for newcomer Lydia, boss Iain recently told The Mirror: "I hope to bring loads of excitement, Rebecca [Ryan] is fantastic. Since we saw her audition, it was a case of, 'where do we sign?'.
"We wanted an updated version of a 90s thriller – like Fatal Attraction. They look horribly dated in gender politics. So what would it look like as a 21st century story.
"I hope we’ve crafted it, everyone behaves badly, it’s very nuanced but she becomes a threat to the marriage; a catalyst for Sarah and Adam to destroy themselves. There is lots of scheming and intelligent subterfuge in several parties.
"It culminates in some exciting pay off in the first six months. It starts small and even humorous with Adam and Sarah as they take pot shots, gradually it becomes more nightmare-ish. It’s exciting with three fantastic actors. It’s thriller-ish but modern."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
