Coronation Street fans were shocked to see a 'blatant error' as Phill finally found out about Fiz and Tyrone.
Phill Whittaker (Jamie McKenna) and Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) were meant to be getting married, but she rejected him on their wedding day and ran back into the arms of her former lover Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
However, they have been pursuing a relationship behind Phill's back, whilst he still tries to save their romance - but during Friday night's show, he finally found out the truth after walking in on their couple's therapy session.
Phill agreed to the annulment - but he has now found out from Hope that Fiz ran to Tyrone straight after the wedding.
Although, some fans were left frustrated by the way Phill found out - as they didn't see how it could ever happen in 'real life'.
Taking to social media, one confused fan penned on Twitter: "Yeah, as if they would have allowed reception to be unstaffed so that anyone could walk in on that counselling session. Even so, wouldn't there have been some sort of indication on the door showing that a private meeting was taking place? #Corrie."
"And Phil just bursts in, not looking, not apologising, just bursts in on a private therapy session! Remind me never to see a therapist. Looks so unprofessional," a second added, as a third wrote: "In the middle of counselling and says come in what happened to confidentially, come on writers do your job and bring this to an end , it’s so predictable now. #Corrie."
A fourth penned: "Dear @itvcorrie. A therapist wouldn’t say ‘Come in’ when she has clients present! This story with Phil is daft. Love the actor though," with a fifth writing: "Surely phill wouldn’t be able to just walk in on patients chats over a forgotten phone."
"As if a counsellor would allow someone to enter the room while she is in the middle of a therapy session #Corrie," another fan wrote on Twitter as they fumed over the blunder.
Phill has been struggling in the wake of their split, and things got even worse when he realised that Fiz had come straight from the wedding to see Tyrone and it was then that they kissed and decided to get back together.
