Coronation Street fans have been left puzzled by the Peter Barlow surgeon story on the ITV soap.
Fans tuning into the show yesterday saw the fall out as Peter found out that his surgeon Mr Thorne had rushed his transplant surgery as part of a bet after nurse Aggie blew the whistle on what happened.
Peter had planned to offer his surgeon a gift but quickly changed his mind after finding out the truth behind what happened. He confronted the medical professional and punched him, leading to Peter being arrested.
An investigation is taking place at the hospital but fans have been reflecting on the events after last night's episode, and are convinced they've spotted a big plot hole in the storyline.
Aggie was seen telling Peter and Carla what had happened, after she was the one to reveal the bet to the hospital, and now viewers of the ITV soap think Aggie should be disciplined for her part in the fallout.
"She should be reported to the #NMC for gross misconduct #aggie #coronationstreet #corrie," one angry fan wrote.
A second fan penned online: "What she's doing amounts to gross misconduct. Never mind what she's accusing the surgeon of doing, SHE should be up in front of a disciplinary! #hypocrite #aggie #coronationsteet #corrie."
"I think Aggie is being very unprofessional as a Nurse discussing incidents with patients. #coronationsteet #corrie," a third wrote, with a fourth adding: "I hope someone reports her for gross misconduct - never mind the surgeon! #aggie #coronationstreet #corrie."
Another fumed: "As if Aggie would be able to tell patients confidential stuff about a consultant being suspended! #Corrie."
Fans called for Aggie to face her own disciplinary procedures too.
"I take it Aggie will be suspended as well for discussing a colleagues case with a member of the public ? #Corrie #coronationstreet," one penned online, whilst another wrote in an angry tweet: "Well it is one thing to be a whistleblower (did right) but to then say to patient what she has is another thing Aggie #Corrie."
