Coronation Street fans have spotted a major red flag with Emma Brooker's new boyfriend Jon Spear.
Emma (Alexandra Mardell) has been growing close to Ted's grandson Jon (Jordan Ford Silver) on the ITV soap, but he is yet to find out the truth of what happened between Emma, Faye Windass and Ted.
The pair had been driving around Weatherfield when Faye accidentally knocked Ted over, and whilst he seemed fine after the accident, when they went to check on him at home later, he had died.
Terrified, the pair decided not to tell the truth about what happened - but that is going to get increasingly hard for Emma, as she's decided to embark on a new romantic relationship with Jon.
Now fans of the ITV soap are worried for Emma ahead of her exit, as they predict one final twist in the storyline. They have pointed out a number of red flags with Jon, and fear the worst for Emma.
"I thought Jon was sweet at first but last night he was too full on. I think the word is 'lovebombing,'" one worried fan wrote, as another penned: "Emma really doesn't waste much time clearly, literally 5 minutes ago she was totally in love with serial liar Curtis even going so far as to almost marry him now suddenly she's hopeless in love with Jon."
A third added as they addressed the scenes on social media: "They've only been together a few weeks 'n Jon, wants Emma, to move in with him, IN ANOTHER COUNTRY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD! I don't know, eh..."
"No happy ending for them," a fourth wrote online.
Emma has also been keeping her romance with Ted's grandson a secret from Faye and Craig Tinker too, so it is likely there is going to be heartbreak ahead for her if the truth comes out.
Whatever happens for Emma, actress Alexandra has confirmed she will be leaving the soap.
Speaking about her exit storyline and whether it could involve prison for the pink-loving cobbles resident, she said: "It would not be good. I feel like she would be targeted straight away. What would be interesting is to see if she went to prison and came back in the future, how she would have changed, how prison life has changed her."
Alexandra hasn't revealed all about her exit - but she did say the door will be left open for her return.
"I'm so pleased, I'm really pleased. Even saying goodbye now was hard enough but that little bit of hope that one day, there's a possibility I could go back, that keeps you going – it's not goodbye forever, you never know," she added.
