Corrie fans rumble who Stephen will murder next after spotting telling clue

Coronation Street fans are convinced who Stephen Reid will murder next - after spotting a telling clue.

The ITV soap are continuing to air some dramatic scenes for the killer, played by Todd Boyce, as he desperately tries to cover up the murder of Leo Thompkins.

Leo's dad Teddy is getting increasingly suspicious that Leo is not all happy in Canada as fake texts from Stephen - sent from Leo's phone - tried to suggest he was doing ok.

Jenny ( Sally Ann Matthews ) has been heartbroken after Leo's sudden exit, not knowing that Leo is actually dead and his body has been hidden by Stephen. Meanwhile, the businessman is under increasing pressure from his ex-wife Gabrielle.

As the soap aired another instalment last night, fans of the ITV soap are convinced they know who risks being murdered next after spotting a telling clue in a scene as Stephen explained his plan to stick around for longer.

He chatted with Shona about his plans to stay on the Cobbles for a while longer, as Shona - who is dating Audrey's grandson David Platt - said to him: "You've got more patience than me. Living with Audrey would drive me to murder!"

She also threw Stephen a look, which some fans were convinced meant she was the next at risk.

"Shona getting on to Stephen #Corrie," one wrote, as another added: "Don’t be putting ideas into his head, Shona! #Corrie."

A third shared: "Shona, don't mention murder in front of Stephen...it'll give him ideas again #Corrie," with a fourth penning online: "Oh Jesus don't give Stephen any ideas Shona lol #Corrie."

Fans are even more convinced by this possibility as Shona is set to exit the Cobbles - at least for a while - as she's on maternity leave.

Todd, who plays Stephen, previously teased he could turn to murder one again.

Asked if the character could kill again, the actor shared: "I don't know, I'm not sure. I think he's capable of just killing more people and going on and doing that, but watch this space," before he joked: "In the green room, I've been offered a lot of cups of tea by a lot of people who wanna find out how long I'm going to be doing the show, and how many people I am gonna kill."
