If you're going to wreak havoc on Coronation Street, it's probably best not to mess with fan favourite Carla Barlow. Corrie viewers are very protective over Underworld boss Carla, played by Alison King, so they were not happy at all with the latest move from killer Stephen Reid in Wednesday night's episode (Februry 15).
Since arriving in Weatherfield last summer, the bogus businessman has plotted to con his own mother Audrey Roberts out of her money. Then he murdered both Leo Thompkins and his dad as they sussed out his villainous ways.
Sneaky Stephen has now switched his attentions to Carla after she demoted him at the factory. She explained that his niece Sarah Barlow is now head of design while Stephen will be office manager.

Determined to have his revenge on Carla, Stephen slipped into the Underworld office with the vial of LSD taken from Underworld client Rufus Donahue's briefcase. He then slipped the hallucinogenic drug into Carla’s coffee.
Later in the Rovers, he was at it again as he spiked an already woozy Carla’s red wine with another vial. Her husband Peter called at the pub and took Carla home after finding her out of sorts.
Carla stared at the factory girls, her paranoia growing while Peter was worried sick that her past psychosis is returning. Back at home she told a concerned Peter that she was seeing shapes. "Shapes I'm enjoying the shapes. That one looks like Ken," she told him.
Viewers are now hoping this will be the beginning of the end for slippery Stephen. They took to Twitter to voice their pleas. As the official Coronation Street Twitter shared a clip from Carla's drugs drama, they asked: "Is Carla going to be okay?" And @carlasbarlow replied: "She better be or there’ll be trouble." @kellycc_x echoed: "She better be."
Soap watchers think it should be the popular couple who bring about Stephen's downfall. @Lauz_79 said: "Peter knows Satan Stephen is a wrongun he’ll protect Carla at all costs."
@Alison_King_Fan said excitedly: "Already here for the revenge these two will be getting on Stephen." @cgre tweeted: "Getting our Carla involved in the ridiculous Stephen storyline better be the beginning of the end for him." And @TVMusings22 predicted: "Carla and Peter will end Stephen!"
