Coronation Street newcomer Rebecca Ryan has finished filming with the ITV soap, ahead of an exciting end to her character Lydia Chambers' dark storyline.
The actress joined the ITV soap late last year, with it confirmed she would bring trouble to the door of her ex Adam Barlow.
Now, it's been confirmed that the character will bow out of the soap amid dramatic scenes on the ITV show - while this was always the plan.
Actress Rebecca was aware when she joined as villain Lydia last year that it wouldn't be a regular role, and that her storyline would come to an epic end.
The manipulative character will depart as the storyline reaches an exciting conclusion later this month, an ITV spokesperson has confirmed to The Mirror.
While details are being kept under wraps, it has been teased that Adam and ex Lydia will become embroiled in tense showdown.
Lydia has already told Adam she is out to get him, but no one believes him - especially his wife Sarah Platt.
When Lydia set Adam up to make it look as though they were having an affair, Sarah kicked him out and has refused to buy his version of events.
Lydia had managed to create evidence that suggested he was her mystery man, and now she's escalated things by claiming Adam is harassing her.
Adam will hit the bottle next week as he finds his life falling apart, with no one to turn to - but it seems some of his family are on his side.
Daniel Osbourne and Carla Connor are not entirely convinced by Lydia's tales, and in upcoming scenes events reach a thrilling conclusion.
Corrie boss Iain MacLeod recently teased the scenes, promising it was a storyline not to be missed.
He said: "These stories will propel us into the hour-long era with a bang and all the characteristic drama, humour, twists and intrigue that Corrie viewers have come to expect.
"We’ve got heart-stopping, high-stakes drama for Sarah, featuring a knife-edge showdown between Adam and his tormentor Lydia, which will leave you wondering which one’s the bad guy. All of this in one big serving per night. What’s not to love?"
