Corrie's Andy McDonald actor Nicholas Cochrane was unrecognisable as he prepared for a rare TV appearance today.
The actor, 48 first stepped onto the cobbles when he was just 16 years old in 1989.
He played Steve McDonald's twin brother and stayed in the soap until 1997 when his character left for Spain to teach English.
Andy was the son of Jim and Liz McDonald and has made several returns to Weatherfield since his departure.
Speaking to the Distinct Nostalgia podcast he said: "'It would be good if the boys got back in touch and Andy ends up back in Weatherfield
"It would be good if Steve needed an organ [transplant] or there were some reason why one of us stays and one goes.
"That would be best for me … it would be a good storyline."
After making several reappearances, Nick says he worries one day they'll want Andy to return full time but the character will be played by another actor.
Sharing his fears he said: “'What I dread is either getting a text or a phone call – or watching it myself – and Andy comes back and it's not me.
"Because, let's be honest, that could happen. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it."
Nick said that he thought Andy was "under-used" by soap writers and he felt like they could have done more with his character.
"I don't know why they've never used Andy a little bit more, really. There are things that only twins or brothers can do, and I think they might have missed a little bit of a trick."
One of his storylines included him dropping out of Sheffield University to marry his girlfriend Amy Nelson but she ditched him to get back with her boyfriend who lived in Trinidad.
Nick worked at the Rovers and dated Paula Maxwell and Anne Malone before he later got caught up in an armed break in.
Looking worlds apart from his time on Corrie, he was seen walking through Leeds wearing a light blue shirt and navy trousers.
The actor added a pair of black trainers and kept his shirt untucked.
Nick gave the thumbs up as he passed cameras on his way to join Steph's Packed Lunch.
He has recently played the role of Kenny Coles in medical soap Doctors.
After his time on Coronation Street he was in ITV's Heartbeat and then in A Study in Red Trilogy and A Dish Served Cold.
He's also appeared on Loose Women, The South Bank Show, Piers Morgan's Life Stories and Canada AM.
