Corrections and clarifications column editor

Corrections and clarification

• An illustration accompanying an article (Britain is now learning what ‘America first’ really means, 14 February, Journal, p1) included a map that intended to show the UK highlighted in red, but the colouring was mistakenly extended across the Republic of Ireland. Also, the UK is Ireland’s biggest trading partner in Europe, not globally as we suggested (Trade between Ireland and Great Britain drops by €6bn, 18 February, p29).

• Other recently amended articles include:

Climate advocacy groups file two lawsuits against Trump administration

Where to start with: Jane Austen

Prince Andrew adviser’s letter to alleged China spy reveals closeness of ties

France’s language tests for foreigners seeking citizenship defeat French people
