If the sneaky little sneaks at Laneway Festival thought we weren’t watching Putricia the the corpse flower‘s live stream, they thought WRONG. On Thursday afternoon, we spotted some suspicious activity in the livestream that seems to hint at some extra tickets to Sydney’s Laneway Festival next month. I know, I know, it sounds far-fetched but just stick with me here.
Punters all over the globe — including the PEDESTRIAN.TV office — have been basking in the grace and soon-to-be-stench of Putricia as she slowly blooms to her full potential at the Botanic Gardens of Sydney. Thankfully, stinky plant fans around the world can marvel at her elegance through a 24-hour livestream. Naturally, we’ve been monitoring the livestream pretty closely for a few reasons:
- We love Putricia
- The livestream is an absolute hoot!!!!
- We genuinely want to see her bloom because this is a botanical marvel.
As we went about our day, there was one particular punter on the livestream cam that caught out eye — a blonde haired girl holding up a message on her phone which read: “Sydney! More tickets dropping!”

Interestingly, the blonde-haired gal looks a lot like Ruby Miles, radio presenter and head of programming at the beloved festival.
According to Ruby’s LinkedIn, she’s also the social media coordinator for the festival. As a gal with her finger on the pulse, wouldn’t it be an amazing idea to announce more coveted Sydney Laneway tickets via the city’s hottest it-girl Putricia?
I know that’s what I’d do.
Although Laneway hasn’t officially announced any extra Sydney Laneway tickets just yet, I’d keep an eye on their socials if you’re still looking for a way to see the likes of Charli xcx, Bicep, Remi Wolf and Clairo (just to name a few) next month.
