Coroner to examine how popular Bulwell dad died at work

The circumstances surrounding the case of a Bulwell dad who died at work will be examined by a coroner. Anthony Watson - known as Tony, and described by his family as their 'best friend' - died on July 11 while working at flooring distributors Cheshires of Nottingham.

Opening an inquest into the 50-year-old's death at Nottingham Council House on Friday, August 5, assistant coroner Fiona Gingell confirmed Tony died at his workplace, located at unit 1 Concord House, in Bulwell. She said he was identified by his general manager Shane Willis-Betts.

The death of Mr Watson, who was a grandad, is also being jointly investigated by Nottinghamshire Police and Nottingham City Council. In a heartfelt tribute published last month, the family of Mr Watson said he was "loved by everyone".
