Coronavirus Ireland: Person filmed wearing dinosaur costume to supermarket in Wexford goes viral

A person was filmed wearing a dinosaur costume to a supermarket in Gorey, Co Wexford, as people across the country brace for the impact of the coronavirus.

The video shows a person dressed in the costume walking with a trolley from Tesco in the town towards the car park last weekend.

Those filming the strange encounter are heard laughing as the person gives them a wave before crossing the road at a zebra crossing.

The video has been shared online and has been viewed over 700 thousand times.

One viewer said: "Can't blame him. After being caught out and wiped out by the last catastrophe 65 million years ago, he's not taking any chances this time."

Another said: "Can't see those hazmat suits taking off in the hospitals."

And another viewer commented: "Couldn't find a face mask but then remembered that yoke he wore for the kids' sports day 20 years ago..."
