Coronation Street viewers were in disbelief as the show debuted in its new timeslot.
The popular soap traditionally airs at 8pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. However, ITV has amended its coverage due to the World Cup.
Portugal took on Uruguay in the latest game of Fifa's flagship tournament. ITV covered the game and moved Corrie to a new timeslot at 9.15pm.

However, the game included lengthy amounts of stoppage time as Portugal secured a 2 - 0 win. The additional time meant tonight's visit to Weatherfield was hit with a slight delay.
Viewers following the show on Twitter were fuming with the additional change and surprised the channel didn't issue an apology at the start of the episode.
CocacolakidJ said: "Bad enough #corrie being moved to 9.15 without it running late. No apology either I notice."
Ryan posted: "Why are there adverts #Corrie is already running late?"
Aiden commented : "Come on we’ve waited until 21:15 for #corrie and not it’s past people’s bedtime not acceptable to be running this late when you have football on ALL DAY."
