Coronation Street viewers were shocked to discover Jack Webster is still in primary school.
A social worker arrived on the cobbles following an explosive few days for the Websters. After being bullied in school, Jack Webster took it upon himself to throw a punch at fellow classmate Nathan because of comments he had "two dads."
With tensions rising in the family and social workers aware of the violence, the pressure started to mount on Kevin who took his anger out by smashing up a customer's car in tonight's episode. During a conversation with the social worker, Kevin said he's trying his best to manage, especially given the special time of life for Jack.

He said Jack was excited to finally be leaving primary school and went on to explain the amazing grades he was receiving in an attempt to soften their recent behaviour. Given Jack's older appearance, the shocking announcement he is still in primary school stunned viewers who had to double take to ensure they heard correctly.
One viewer said: "Jacks at primary school? But he’s about 17!!"
Another added: "Jack is about three foot taller than anyone else in Primary - he might as well have a beard and be smoking a pipe too."
A third viewer said: "Jack's last day at PRIMARY?! Jesus Christ the kid looks like he'll be graduating from Uni and getting a mortgage next week."
A final comment said: "JACK IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN PRIMARY SCHOOL ???????"
The character of Jack is 11 years old, with his birthday falling on September 6th, 2010. His actor, Kyran Bowes, is actually 15 years old in reality, a stark difference from his primary school alter ego.
