Coronation Street tour announces price changes - to make it cheaper for families

Bosses of the official Coronation Street tour have announced a range of reduced prices - which they say will make the attraction more affordable for families. The new pricing structure also includes a discounted rate for anyone booking after 3pm on operating weekends in 2022.

The official Corrie tour in Manchester reopened its doors to the public in March. It had been closed for the past two years due to the successive coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

The attraction allows fans of the hit ITV soap to wander down the cobbles of Coronation Street and explore all the famous landmarks from the show on a 90-minute outdoor tour. You can take unlimited photos of you and your friends outside the likes of the Rovers Return, The Bistro and Roy's Rolls.

When the tour returned in March, prices were set at £35 for adults, and £32.50 for under 8s, which some fans had said made it quite an expensive day out for families. Now tour bosses have introduced a new pricing structure, which will include tickets for under-16s priced from £25.50 per person after 3pm.

There will also be a new family ticket option, based on 2 adults and 2 children priced from £80 which represents a big saving on the previous full price for a family of four of £135. Reduced price adult tickets, priced at £28, will also be available after 3pm on selected weekends, which are currently on sale up to June.

The tour is based on Trafford Wharf Road in Old Trafford and is only open at weekends so as not to disrupt filming on the hit soap through the week. Tickets are currently available on selected weekends up to June 2022, with new dates set to be announced in the coming weeks.

A Corrie tour spokesperson said: "Coronation Street The Tour have introduced a new pricing structure for guests, with limited tickets now available from just £28 per adult - a saving of up to 20% (available after 3pm on operating weekends in 2022).

"Acknowledging the demand from a younger audience, and indeed a family market, the official tours of the external ITV set at MediaCityUK now also include tickets for under 16s from £25.50 per person and a family ticket from just £80 (2 adults, 2 children). Children under 4 go free.

"All ticket options are now available to book online, with tour dates currently released until the end of June."
