Max Turner will have to face his past again in Coronation Street with the 'return' of Griff Reynolds while he also comes face-to-face with two others from his not-too-distant past.
The teen, played by Paddy Bever, is still fresh out of the Secure Training Centre (STC) months after pleading guilty to encouraging terrorism. In horror scenes aired back in January, fans of the ITV soap watched as teenager Blake appeared intent on causing damage as he live-streamed his visit to Maria Connor's refugee drop-in.
Upon seeing the live stream video, Max tried to stop him but it was too late, after being refused entry by Gary Windass, as Blake launched towards Maria before Alya saved her life.

The shock attack came after both Maria and Alya were the target of the extremist group led by eco-warrior Griff and his racist gang who groomed troubled Max. And it was upon seeing the videos Max helped create for the terrifying gang that Blake decided to pull his own horrifying stunt.
But this only happened after Alya saved the lives of her neighbours by driving the Speed Daal van away from the street knowing there was an active bomb inside after it was planted by the extremist gang with Max being the one to again alert them to the danger alongside then-love interest Lauren, who was also the daughter of one of the gang members.
Back to what's to come next week in Corrie and when Max heads towards Bec’s flat, Gav approaches and explains that he’s been released from the STC and he intends to marry Bec.
However, when Max reveals that Bec has moved on and she’s going out with him now, Gav’s furious and grabs him. Spotting Bec, Max shouts at her to run, but has Bec got her own secrets?
Later, Max is shocked when Lauren approaches, revealing that she fell out with her mum, wants nothing more to do with her dad or his right-wing mates, and spent last night kipping in the bus station.
Feeling sorry for her, Max takes her to the café. But that's not the end of Max being reminded about what's happened in recent months as Max will be heard telling Spider Nugent that the CPS want him to make a statement for Griff’s trial.
Spider encourages him to do the right thing. With Shona Platt at his side, Max meets with the CPS lawyer and confirms he’s willing to make a statement about how Griff groomed and manipulated him.
