Coronation Street stars look unrecognisable after glam makeovers for cast meet-up

Coronation Street favourites including Mollie Gallagher, Ellie Leach, Alison King and Samia Longchambon met up for a belated Christmas party on Friday evening.

Some of the cast looked unrecognisable to their Weatherfield characters, as the cast glammed up for the occasion.

It seems the Corrie festive party was cancelled in 2021, as the cast and crew instead met up for drinks in April, four months on.

Others snapped in Manchester City Centre were Jane Danson, Millie Gibson and Tanisha Gorey, as well as Tony Maudsley, Jack James Ryan and Georgia Taylor.

All of those in attendance looked dressed up for the occasion, with many looking very different to their characters, who are on screen three days a week.

The cast posed together for some lovely snaps on their way to the venue, with them all looking pretty happy to be out and about - amid heartache and drama for their soap alter egos.

Kelly Neelan actress Millie donned a stunning yellow silk halter neck dress with matching yellow heels, as her co-star Tanisha opted for a mini skater skirt in cream, with a black top.

Julia Goulding, who plays Shona Platt on the ITV soap, wore a dark yellow frock with a plunging bow on the front, and a thigh split at the side in a major makeover from her character's usual look.

Ellie, who plays Faye Windass on the cobbles, stunned in white, as she matched a crop top with a pair of trousers, while Carla Connor actress Alison was ready for summer in a white and black polkadot maxi dress, with white shoes.

Mollie, who plays Nina, was in hysterics as she nearly fell over in front of photographers, as she made her way to meet her soap pals.

She donned a light blue velvet dress, with a leather-look blazer and chunky black boots - also revealing her recent hair makeover.

The cast were letting their hair down after some dramatic scenes for many of the characters on the show, with much more drama ahead too.

Nina has recently been struggling with her anxiety, amid her blossoming romance with Tanisha's character Asha Alahan.

Kelly has just learned her dad was murdered, three years on from him going missing, while her mother Laura recently passed away from cancer.

Faye will learn next week that she is suffering from early menopause, and Shona and partner David are in for a tough ride, after her stepson Max nearly died in the latest episode on Friday.

Actors Tony Maudsley and Jack James Ryan also featured heavily this week just gone, with one revealing their big secret, and the other forced to take action when a resident almost died.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
