Coronation Street actress Wendi Peters looks completely different after leaving the soap back in 2008.
She first stepped into the spotlight back in 2003 as mouthy Cilla Battersby-Brown and caused plenty of drama alongside her good-for-nothing husband Les Battersby.
Much to the sadness of soap fans, she stepped down from her role five years later in 2008 when Cilla made her dramatic departure in favour of the bright Las Vegas lights.
She made a brief return in 2014 for six weeks, but left the cobbles once more.
Since then she has worked on stage in theatre shows and musicals, with her latest theatre role being in Jack and the Beanstalk.
More recently, Doctors fans will recognise her for her role on the daytime drama.
The actress will plays the role of Doctor Nina Bulsara in the soap, and shared her exciting news during an episode of Morning Live.
She said: "I'm having a brilliant time. I've been here two or three weeks now and just settling in to playing Dr Nina."
Back in 2020 Wendi teased that Cilla may be making a return to Corrie.
It's thought that her character could come back to check on her son Chesney after he has had four children of his own.
Wendi talked about her possible reappearance at the Guide Dogs ’ virtual tea party, as she said: "If a lovely story-line came up and I popped back in for a little while, it’d be nice.
"But I’m so busy work-wise.
"It would be quite fun now they’ve got quadruplets to have the mother from hell to look after them."
Last year Wendi shared a throwback from her Corrie days alongside Chesney and Fiz to mark Children in Need.
Alongside the snaps uploaded to Twitter, she wrote: "Was handed a photo album to look at today that took me back to 2004 when #Corrie did #Oliver on @BBCCiN #happydays look at little Sam !!! Please donate whatever you are able to this Friday xxx"
Fans are desparate for her to come back, with one fan saying: "Bring back Cilla - Literally the best character ever on Corrie!"
Aside from her successful acting career, Wendi has kept a lot of her personal life private.
The star has been married to husband Kenny Linden since 1993 and together they have one daughter called Grace.
Kenny works in the same industry as his wife as a performer and also appeared as a dancer in the film Absolute Beginners, as well as performing in the chorus for The Tall Guy and the musical theatre production Cats.
However, it's thought the pair may have recently put an end to their relationship.
An insider close to the former Coronation Street star said: "Wendi and Kenny were together for a long time and had a mostly happy marriage but grew apart."
"Wendi is focusing on her new role in Doctors and looking ahead to the future," they told The Sun.
