Coronation Street will air upsetting scenes on Friday night, as Laura Neelan is set to lose her life.
Corrie actress Millie Gibson, who plays Laura's daughter Kelly Neelan on the ITV soap, has encouraged viewers to tune in - but has warned of "distressing" scenes ahead.
Taking to Twitter on Friday before the episode, she said: "If you’re about on a Friday night.. have a watch of tonight’s @itvcorrie at 8pm :) these scenes are quite distressing but you get to see our @KelAllenUK absolutely smash it."
Actress Kel Allen, who plays Laura, responded to the tweet admitting she was emotional, before praising her on-screen daughter.
She replied: "Oh my babba, I keep welling up thinking about it. You smashed it out of the park! Mamma loves you."
During Friday's episode, Gary Windass continues to urge Kelly to see her dying mother after being told she has only hours to live.
As Laura deteriorates, Gary does what he can to convince Kelly to be there for her - but will she agree?
Kelly has abandoned her mother after Laura confessed to the murder of her father Rick Neelan in recent scenes.
Fans know that Gary is the real killer, but knowing she was dying and wanting the best for Kelly, she took the blame.
She told Gary to keep his secret and in return, raise Kelly for her - but it's meant Kelly hasn't seen her sick mother since.
Viewers will have to tune in to see if Kelly does appear in her mother's final moments, with her set to tragically pass away on Friday.
Kel recently told The Mirror that the cast filming her final scenes broke down in tears, and she could barely look at her co-stars.
She revealed: "Mikey and I were both emotional wrecks. It was my last day so it was a lot anyway, and then everything in these scenes was just so emotional.
"Normally, we’re laughing on set but that day we couldn’t look at each other because every time we did we started crying.
"We were like, ‘Someone has got to put these cameras on us and start filming as we can’t hold off much longer’.
"The production team were the same, everyone was just falling apart with what was going on. It’s such emotional scenes – you definitely need the tissues on a day like that."
