It sounds like there's some exciting times coming up for Alya Nazir on Coronation Street.
Corrie star Sair Khan, who has played Alya for five years, has been filming dramatic new scenes this week.
Over the years Alya has dealt with the death of her father Kal in the Victoria Court fire, her granddad Sharif doing a runner after having an affair with family friend Sona Rahman, the murder of her boyfriend Luke Britton and her best friend Rana Habeeb being killed in the Underworld roof collapse.
Speaking to us on the red carpet at the Pride of Manchester Awards, Sair said: "We've been filming some bits today actually something pretty high drama. It does involve Alya.
"There actually are happy times coming up. There's a couple of things going on. One of them is really great and one of them not so great."
Recently Alya was unmasked as the person behind the cruel social media messages claiming to be Rana from beyond the grave.
Someone had been taunting Underworld boss Carla Connor, whose mental health has been struggling after her factory collapsed killing her half-sister Kate Connor's bride on their wedding day - and the culprit was revealed as Alya.
The character was first introduced in Weatherfield in 2014 and last year Sair defended her feisty characte as she took on the Connors to fight for Underworld.
Alya found out her late boss Aidan Connor left the business to her in his will after taking his own life, and his half sister Carla had been hiding the truth from her while continuing to run the Weatherfield underwear factory.
So she dug her heels in, saying she’s only taking what’s rightfully hers.
However she was stunned to discover a secret DVD made by Aidan which proved how much his family meant to him, and decided to sell the factory to Carla for the value of Aidan's original stake.
Alya found love with mechanic Luke but their relationship ended in tragedy when Luke was murdered by serial killer Pat Phelan in 2017.
She went on to date Josh Tucker, who was exposed as a rapist who attacked David Platt after a night out, and recently she threatened to ruin Ryan Connor's blossoming relationship with Bethany Platt after he asked both of them out.
At the end of last year Sair was one of the celebs running the gauntlet in the jungle as a contestant on I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!
Before heading into the jungle Sair said she was looking forward to using the experience to show how different she is away from the cobbles and admitted it would be "very weird" to go in as herself rather than hiding behind a character.
And she told us she has no plans to do any other reality show after her I'm A Celebrity experience, during which she became the third campmate to leave.
"I wouldn't do any other reality shows after the jungle. I'm happy to be back at Corrie now anyway," she said.
Sair and her co-star Antony Cotton presented Child of Courage winner Anya Ottley with her award and she took the Pride of Manchester Awards crowd by storm when she burst into song on stage.
The inspirational seven-year-old had the crowd on their feet as she belted out the lyrics to Fight Song at The Principal Hotel in Manchester.
The Bolton youngster was diagnosed with a very rare form of kidney cancer in November 2017 and underwent major surgery to have her left kidney removed.
Although the surgery was successful, she had to undergo 28 rounds of intensive chemotherapy at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital .
