Coronation Street star Rob Mallard shares hilarious behind-the-scenes message to co-star

Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has lifted the lid on the backstage japes on the long-running soap.

Charlotte arrived on the famous cobbles in October 2020 as flirty Daisy Midgeley, the stepdaughter of Jenny Bradley.

After toying with DJ Ryan Connor and destroying his relationship with Alya Nazir, the bad girl barmaid set her sights on widower Daniel Osbourne, played by Rob Mallard.

At first it appeared that she was just after the house he had inherited from his mother, but it turned out she had genuine feelings for the teacher.

And fans are now rooting for the soap couple to get together following a number of ups and downs.

Corrie fans were amused when Charlotte shared a picture of a note Rob, 29, had scrawled on a takeaway order before a take on the soap.

It said: "Daisy Poo Poo Head."

Daisy tweeted sarcastically: "So hashtag blessed to have a scene partner that leaves supportive and encouraging messages before a take.

"Wise beyond his years is our @Rob_Mallard."

And Rob deadpanned: "I got your back pal."

Soap fan @gennard_emma told them: "Sounds like you all have a lot of fun filming Corrie."

Penfold laughed: "That’s a very strange takeaway order!!"

@AntGill77 chuckled: "Love it lol x"

@andytenore tweeted: "Hilarious."

The exchange reignited calls for Daisy and Daniel to become a couple.

@rachymaccy said: "Maybe my favourite duo ever."

@irish_Carole tweeted: "This pair need to get back together."

And @jonezoe wrote: "I hope they get back together."
