Former Coronation Street star Nicola Thorp says the soap ruined her sex life.
The actress, 30, is single and says starring on soap made dating difficult.
As well as being unable to use apps like Tinder, her role in the soap means men just want to take selfies with her "for their nan".
She told the Daily Star : "I've used dating sites in the past and they can be brilliant, especially if you're busy working.
"I've met some really interesting people even though it might not have worked out romantically, we've become friends.
"It's funny because I've been out recently and have had a good-looking man look at me in a bar, and then I'd pluck up the courage and confidence to go and say hello, and I'll get: 'Aren't you Phelan's daughter?'

"And I'm like: 'Damn it! I thought you were going to ask for my number but you just want a photo to show your nan.'"
Nicola played Nicola Rubinstein, the long-lost daughter of serial killer Pat Phelan.
She left the soap last year, and is now auditioning for roles in other projects and admits she would love to play a villain.
The actress added: "I'd love to play a baddie, a female Phelan.
"I've always played quite nice people, or young mums, so to play a flawed character would be a bit of a dream.
"I've been auditioning for parts and enjoying my life."
