Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher has revealed she will be a contestant on Dancing On Ice.
The 2023 series is expected to start early next year, with four contestants already being announced - Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, football star John Fashanu and actress Patsy Palmer. On Thursday, Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina on the soap, appeared on ITV's Lorraine and told the host she was excited to be taking part in Dancing On Ice.
Mollie added: "I'm really excited. I've not really felt nervous yet, but being here today, now I'm feeling it. Back in the day, I've skated at Christmas markets but before the try out for Dancing on Ice, I went on the ice.

"I'll be getting all the tips I can," Mollie said, adding she'd be talking with her fellow Corrie stars who have taken to the ice before. Jane Danson and Sally Dynevor are just two of a number of Corrie stars who have been on the show, reports The Mirror.
Previously, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson was confirmed for the TV contest. "I'm going to be on ITV's Dancing on Ice! This is a really cool thing. I've certainly not done much ice-skating but I am so excited for the opportunity.
"I’m so excited to get into that routine and to feel like an athlete again," he said, announcing the news on his YouTube channel, as he added: "My biggest goal on the show is to do something that no-one has ever done before!"
Love Island fans were also left stunned when Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu was confirmed to be one of the stars from this series. She said: "I’ve got some amazing news to tell you, I’m going to be doing this year’s Dancing on Ice! I’m so excited, I can’t wait to get myself on the ice and skate. Stay tuned and see you on the ice!"
