Coronation Street star Faye Brookes shows off 'unreal' new look

Former Coronation Street star Faye Brookes was inundated with compliments after unveiling a new look.

The Kate Connor actress shared some snaps with her many Instagram followers on Monday, showing off some new glasses. The 34-year-old also wore her pyjamas and had her hair up, off her face.

She wore minimal makeup with a simple winged eye. Faye shared a number of selfies, and said there were "no Blue Mondays here".

Captioning the post, she said: "I am more than what you see…". Fans were quick to comment on the star's new look.

Sarah McEvoy said: "Gorgeous, gorgeous girl", while Ken Eggerton said: "Oh wow how different you look." Siobhan said: "You look unreal!"

Faye first appeared on the cobbles as barmaid and restaurant manager Kate Connor in 2015, when soap bosses chose to extend the Connor clan. After leaving the soap, Faye starred in the 2021 series of Dancing on Ice.

While no longer on TV, Faye is still acting, and is currently playing the iconic role of Roxie Hart in the Chicago UK tour. She recently opened up to fans, admitting she was going through a "struggle".

Earlier this year, Faye said: "[Real talk] and it’s about Lifequakes... Yes it’s a real word.

"Definition; An event that suddenly changes your life – a car accident, a terrible illness, or losing a loved one – in the same dramatic way that an earthquake might destroy a building.

"Well … here’s the truth of it all. I have faced around three Lifequakes in less than 3 months and apparently it takes a good 6 months to get over just one…"

The actress implored people to be kind to others and continued: "You never know what people are going through.

"So for anyone who is going through some sort of struggle, a difficult time, feeling like their climbing a constant uphill battle… Give yourself time. Allow yourself to feel. Know that it will be okay. It might not be right now. But it will be. Eventually."
