Coronation Street spoiler videos for next week: Stephen smiles as he drugs Elaine and Amy snaps at a shocked Aaron

The fallout from an affair bombshell begins and another Weatherfield resident's life could be at risk in next week's Coronation Street. At the end of this week, viewers of the ITV soap saw Sarah Barlow backed into a corner and having to confess to her secret liaisons with Damon Hay after being caught by her son.

After initially telling little Harry to keep the kiss he witnessed a secret from Adam Barlow, the upset youngster lashed out leaving Sarah having to come clean to Adam. The riled-up solicitor then marched over to the Bistro where the late licence launch party was taking place.

Seeing red, Adam barged into the restaurant and eventually announced to everyone that Damon had been "knocking off" his wife and that if he could get close enough he would "wrap a bottle" around his head. Sarah tried to calm the situation down but failed as Adam lunged for Damon, wanting to take him outside.

Next week, Sarah confides in Audrey how she loves Adam and threw it away for a stupid fling. Audrey urges her to tell him how she feels. Sarah begs Adam to give her another chance. When Adam refuses, Sarah turns the tables, suggesting he’s partially to blame as he was always at work.

Adam’s seething but during a heart-t-heart with Ken in scenes to air on Monday, June 12, Ken likens their marriage to that of his own to Deirdre. Ken tells Adam that if he still loves Sarah, then he should give their marriage another go leaving Adam with food for thought.

Elsewhere, Amy Barlow faces a fresh setback as she continues to risk a court appearance after outing Aaron Sandford as a rapist. Last month, viewers of the ITV soap saw Amy accused of harassment after spotting former friend Aaron's old flame Mia at the garage, and told her he raped her.

And after later sharing what happened in an online journal, Amy has been slapped with action by Aaron's dad, Eric, who soon appeared at 1 Coronation Street and announced that he was suing Amy for libel. With Tracy and Steve McDonald behind her, they decided not to issue a retraction to satisfy Eric's plans to sue.

In upcoming scenes, when Amy suggests she could use her inheritance from Deirdre to fund her legal fees, Steve won’t hear of it, adamant that he and Tracy will find the money. As Steve discusses the sale of the flower shop flat Amy feels terrible, knowing that Billy, Paul and Summer will lose their home.

Going through the details of the libel case with Adam, Amy feels the pressure, aware her family could lose everything. Summer tears a strip off Aaron, pointing out that because of his failure to admit the truth, Amy and her family are risking everything.

Later, Amy continues to worry sick at the thought of Mary losing her job and Billy, Paul and Summer being made homeless. Abi’s troubled to hear that Steve and Tracy are selling up to do battle with Aaron.

But after a meeting with their solicitor, a fired-up Eric tells Aaron that Amy’s a liar, they’re going to prove it in court and she’ll get her just deserts. However, after a heart-to-heart with Maria, Amy announces she’s going to write a retraction as too many people are suffering.

When Amy shows Aaron her written retraction, he points out that it doesn’t make sense and in a moment to be seen on Friday, June 16, Amy sees red and snaps, telling him it’s hard to make sense of a pack of lies and if he doesn’t like it, he should write it himself and she’ll sign it.

After being left shocked by Amy As he struggles to write the retraction, Aaron goes back over that night.

And while all this other stuff is going on,e everyone is completely unaware there is a serial killer within their grasp. But will Stephen strike again next week? It's been weeks now since he claimed his last victim, businessman Rufus Donahughe, but now its fiancee Elaine Metcalfe who is in his sights.

In upcoming scenes, viewers will see newcomer Owen stride over to Stephen and reveal that after a frank discussion with Jenny Connor, they’d both like to know why he told them each a pack of lies in a bid to foil their potential romance. As Stephen scratches about for a plausible reason, Owen tells him that once he takes over the factory, he’s fired

Stephen is then quick to warn Carla Connor against selling the factory but she insists that she has to for the sake of her mental health leaving the money-strapped businessman - and serial killer - kicking himself.

The frustrations of the day get the better of him, and Stephen soon trashes the factory floor. Arriving to witness his meltdown, Michael Bailey wonders what’s going on. Later, unpacking in their new flat, Stephen suggests again to Elaine that they should buy Carla’s share of the business.

But when Elaine snaps at him and spells out that she will never invest a penny in the factory and they should simply enjoy their retirement, Stephen masks his fury - until later. Unaware that Stephen has replaced her blood pressure pills with caffeine pills, Elaine’s exhausted and jittery. Handing her a glass of water, Stephen reminds her it’s time for her pills.

Feeling the pressure when Carla tells him if he doesn’t come up with the money quickly, she’ll sell to Owen, Stephen will be seen on Wednesday, June 14, crushing some caffeine tablets while Elaine’s out of the room. He puts them into one of the teas he’s made and hands it to Elaine as she comes through, smiling to himself as his plan to overdoes her and claim on the life insurance policy he’s forged begins.

As Elaine admits she doesn’t feel well, Stephen feigns concern and offers to get some food. Alone and overcome by dizziness, Elaine stumbles and hits her head. Stephen returns to find Elaine unconscious on the floor. As he quietly backs out of the flat, has Stephen killed again?
