Coronation Street's Abi Franklin will turn on Imran Habeeb next week when she risks losing her newborn son Alfie.
New ITV spoilers reveal that on Wednesday 30 March, Abi (Sally Carman) will head to court as she fights to win custody of her child.
As Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) arrives at the courtroom to show her support, both Imran (Charlie De Melo) and Abi are awash with guilt as she has no idea that the baby is actually his.
Abi and Imran had a drunken one night stand last year when Abi was grieving the death of her son Seb Franklin.
In court, the local authority solicitor lists a host of reasons proving Abi to be an unfit mother and why Alfie should be taken into care.
Imran pleads Abi’s case, doing everything in his power to convince the Judge that Abi has changed and is now clean.
Toyah later suggests to Imran that he’s done all he can for Abi and it’s time to step back and concentrate on Elsie’s adoption hearing.
Imran somehow manages to cover his turmoil, while Abi is left furious.
When Abi bans him from seeing Alfie, Imran declares he’ll do whatever it takes, even if it means putting his name on the birth certificate. Is it time for Imran to come clean?
By Friday, Imran tells a pleased Toyah that he has set Abi up with a solicitor free of charge before secretly heading off with Abi to register Alfie’s birth.
When Toyah bumps into Abi carrying a package, which contains Alfie’s paperwork, and sees her acting strangely she assumes she is back on drugs and warns her estranged husband Kevin Webster.
Kevin later hunts for the package whilst Abi is making tea and ends up discovering the birth certificate which states that Imran is the father. How will Kevin react to the news?
Later that day as Toyah and Imran sit down with the social worker to discuss adopting Elsie, it's been teased that Imran’s world could be about to implode - but will it be thanks to Kevin?
