Tim and Sally Metcalfe have always had a healthy sex life but - following his recent health woes - Tim is left panicking over his impotency.
Next week on Coronation Street, Tim is left deeply embarrassed over another botched attempt at love-making but refuses to discuss it with wife Sally.
Despite her attempts to discuss the situation with him, Tim proves to be obstinate and ends up snapping at her.
Later, Tim is left feeling sheepish over how he reacted towards Sally and offers her a bunch of flowers to say sorry.
After the couple enjoy a meal together, Sally suggests that they have an early night but Tim is worried and embarrassed about his impotence.
But Sally reassures him and says she's happy to settle for a hug.
Later on in the week, Sally urges him to make an appointment with Dr Gaddas to discuss his impotence, but an embarrassed Tim refuses to do so.
Sally is frustrated by Tim's stubbornness, but is relieved when Tim eventually relents and agrees to see the doctor.
What will Dr Gaddas say about Tim's condition and will she be able to help at all?
It comes after Tim collapsed in January after Sally initially believed that he was cheating on her with Aggie.
But what he had actually been doing was confiding in Aggie over his doctor’s diagnosis that he needed a triple heart bypass operation.
The pair were able to get over Tim's deception and over the last few weeks have attempted to ramp up their sex life - which didn't go too well as they were more often than not interrupted by Tim's mum.
An awkward moment saw Sally dress as a sexy nurse in a bid to seduce her husband, only for Elaine to walk in at the wrong time...
