Coronation Street set tours reopens to fans after two year closure

Soap fans will soon be able to visit the Coronation Street set again after a two-year hiatus due to covid.

"Coronation Street The Tour" will welcome guests back from Saturday, March 12, and promises a trip "down the nation’s most famous street".

Visitors can take a sneak peek at the hidden world behind the cameras.

General tickets have now been released for official tours, which will run on select weekends throughout the year.

Guests can explore the external sets at Manchester's Media City, which means a tour of Coronation Street, Rosamund Street and Victoria Street.

Fans can visit the Rovers Return, Roy's Rolls, Underworld and The Kabin as they follow in the footsteps of their favourite characters.

Each tour takes 90 minutes, with guides sharing behind-the-scenes secrets and pointing out the locations of iconic moments from the recent and not-so-recent past.

Visitors will also be shown where each character lives, and there'll be plenty of time for street selfies.

Tours of the Coronation Street set were postponed back in the spring of 2020 as the country went into lockdown.

Corrie bosses say the tour is now looking forward to welcoming guests back to Weatherfield.
