Coronation Street viewers were left moved to tears, as Sinead Tinker died in one of the ITV soap's most harrowing and devastating episodes to date.
Daniel Osbourne and their baby son Bertie were with her, as the character, played by Katie McGlynn, lost her battle with cancer.
In an hour-long special focusing on Sinead and her devastating storyline, viewers witnessed her final hours at home including her heartbreaking goodbyes to her family.
The episode came to an end shortly after her final moments, with her dying after confessing she wasn't ready to go - also fearing her son would never remember her.
At the start at the episode, Sinead was in severe pain and was given pain relief, and throughout the episode fans saw her in and out of coniousness.
Daniel was then stunned to be told his wife had just hours to live, not ready for the time to come.
After conversations with Billy the vicar about her funeral, and the return of her mother, Sinead was left alone with Daniel and Bertie.
After a final heart-to-heart, she confessed she was glad her son was too young to know what was happening.
Sinead asked Daniel to promise he and Bertie would never blame themselves, after she put off cancer treatment while pregnant to make sure he survived.
In her final moments, the Barlows and the Tinkers gathered together to await news - while Sinead told Daniel she wanted him to move on after her death.
She said: "Don't forget about me, but do forget about me," before taking his hand.
Sinead told Daniel she could feel herself going with him begging her not to go, before he read little Bertie a story to help him sleep.
As he reached the end, he realised Sinead had passed away. With little Bertie on his lap, he looked over and saw his wife in bed and knew she was gone.
Daniel sat on the bed and burst into tears, before leaning against her. The scene then faded to black, before returning with her loved ones entering her bedroom to say an emotional goodbye to her.
Beth broke down while her cousin Craig sat on the bed, before Ken and Tracy amongst others also arrived to bid her farewell. As her family gathered outside, Billy said a prayer for her.
Viewers were left in tears by the scenes, taking to Twitter to say their own goodbyes to the character before praising actress Katie.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
