Coronation Street's Samia Longchambon has issued an emotional tribute to her co-star.
The soap star is renowned for her role as Maria Windass on the Cobbles. She joined the cast of the ITV soap in 2000 and has been a mainstay on the show ever since.
Samia recently celebrated her 40th birthday and she today congratulated Alan Halsall as as he reached the same milestone age. She posted on Instagram: "Happy 40th birthday. Caught me up."

Alan is beloved by Corrie fans for his portrayal of Tyrone Dobbs. He first appeared on the show in 1998 and is now one of the most recognisable faces in Weatherfield.
Samia shared a fresh faced snap of the two as they were starting out their career on Corrie, alongside an emotional tribute.
She added: "Couldn't not post this little beauty. Have the best day my friend. I love you. Here's to the next 40 years of you being a legend!" Other Corrie stars also took to Instagram to send Alan a supportive message on his special day.
Jamie Kenna, who played Phill Whittaker, said: "Happy Birthday. Love you."
Alan is a in relationship with former co-star, Tisha Merry, who added: "Happy 40th birthday to my old boyfriend".
