Coronation Street star Sally Carman-Duttine has been branded a 'special person' by fans as her role away from the ITV soap was uncovered. The actress, known for playing Abi Webster, took to Instagram with a snap of herself and two other women as she paid them a visit as a patron for their domestic abuse services.
Explaining what she was up to in the caption of her post, the soap star said: "Yesterday, I visited Debbie Jones and the ladies at @res.olutewomenssupport to find out more about the services and support they offer women and girls who are suffering from domestic abuse. These amazing women openly and honestly shared their horrific journeys with me, made all the more heartbreaking by the lack of support from the police and social services.
"@res.olutewomenssupport is a charity that is determined to change all of that but they need your support. On the 27th July at the Barnsley Metrodome resolute are holding an event to raise money and awareness for this vital service."

She added in a rallying call: "Please come and see exactly what they do and have a lot of fun at the same time! We are losing 5 women a week to domestic violence and this needs to stop. Please help if you can. Thank you so much."
Resolute Women's Support was quick to respond, writing in the comments: "We are so proud and honoured to have you as the parton of Resolute woman’s support. You are one of the kindest, caring person I've ever met."
And Sally's fans and followers were quick to applaud her involvement. @lespaulpf466 said: "All looking absolutely fabulous and the support you all give is awesome." @kerrysuzanne14 replied: "You are a real superstar, great actor and fab supporter of really important causes." @grammscne added: "You are a special person to be involved with this group."
Away from her important work, Sally has also been enjoying some pamper time as she showed the secret behind her gorgeous locks. The actress is often seen sporting bouncy blonde, short tresses in snaps posted on her Instagram page but it appears she is hiding a bit of a secret.
In a video posted by her hairdresser Leah Riley, the stylist could be seen adding extensions to Sally's locks. The Instagram video included the caption: "Let's add some thickness," and showed the actress's hair before the extensions were applied. The process showed Sally sporting unusually long locks before they were chopped to her desired, shoulder-length style.
Her blonde-tinged strands were then curled to perfection and Sally clearly left the salon buzzing with her fresh do. Resharing the video to her own Instagram Story, she typed: "Say Whaaa?! Thank you SO MUCH @leahrileyhair Your'e the BEST!" with a string of yellow heart emojis.
