Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher has been announced for the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice.
The actress is the latest celebrity to be revealed, joining the likes of EastEnders' Patsy Palmer and former footballer John Fashanu. Rounding out the cast as the fifth contestant, she will also compete against Love Island's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson.
Discussing the announcement on Lorraine, Mollie said: "I'm really excited. I’ve not really felt nervous yet, strangely. But being here today, I am now feeling it a little bit!"

On seeking advice from her Coronation Street co-stars, Mollie said: "I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it!" The actress is best known for her roles as Nina Lucas, joining the cast back in 2019. Not only has she become a mainstay on the soap opera, she has also bagged herself a National Television Award for her performance last year.
Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will welcome the celebrity faces to the ITV show as they swap their normal professions for the ice rink. Each will be paired with a professional ice skater as they strut their stuff to music to try and wow judges Oti Mabuse, dancer Ashley Banjo and skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
