Coronation Street's Rebecca Ryan said she is 'hated' since taking on the role of scorn woman Lydia Chambers in the ITV soap.
The character was introduced to bring trouble to the door of her ex Adam Barlow and the manipulative character will depart as the storyline reaches an exciting conclusion later this month.
Actress Rebecca was aware when she joined as villain Lydia last year that it wouldn't be a regular role, and that her storyline would come to an epic end.

But she wouldn't be leaving without stirring the pot first as Lydia was out to seek revenge on her ex boyfriend.
So far, Lydia has set Adam up to make it look as though they were having an affair leading to Sarah kicking him out as she refused to buy his version of events.
And now Lydia has escalated things further by claiming that Adam was harassing her.
Corrie boss Iain MacLeod recently teased the exit scenes as he said: "We’ve got heart-stopping, high-stakes drama for Sarah, featuring a knife-edge showdown between Adam and his tormentor Lydia, which will leave you wondering which one’s the bad guy. All of this in one big serving per night. What’s not to love?"
While Rebecca's stint on the cobbles has been short, she said that her character seems to have a lasting impact on the public.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on her ITV talk show, the actress explained what the audience thought of the role as she said: "I'm quite hated at the minute, let's just say."
Lorraine said: "But that shows that you're doing your job very well."
Rebecca added: "Yeah, I'll take it as a compliment.
"But yeah there's a lot of hate out there for Lydia because she is a terrible character.
"I sit there watching it and obviously I read the scripts and it's me who is doing them, but when you sit back and actually watch it"
Lorraine finished her sentence as she said: "You can't believe she's doing that!"
Rebecca went on to explain the extreme actions of woman scorned Lydia, after Lorraine stated that Adam doesn't remember her, as she said: "I think that's what hurts her the most. All this kind of stems from a long process going back. They've obviously had a lot of history together and I think she thought when she saw him again he would definitely remember her again. It was a significant relationship for Lydia.
"She's out there for revenge definitely, she's been so hurt in the past so she's there to definitely get her own back now."
