Coronation Street's Lily Platt starts choking and Sam watches her 'die'

Coronation Street is set for one of its most sensitive storylines this year so far as David Platt’s daughter is involved in a horrific accident.

Scenes are set to air later this month, as Max makes a film about the sewer collapse.

Nick tells David he hopes to reignite Sam’s interest in his telescope, before Max suggests that he and Lily could join him.

But as Sam goes out on the balcony with his telescope, Lily locks him out there.

She then dangles the key in front of him in a bid to further taunt him.

As Lily sucks on a lollipop and taunts Sam through the glass door, suddenly the lollipop comes away from the stick causing Lily to choke as Sam watches on in complete horror.

While Lily continues to choke, Sam is frozen solid – unable to move or help in any way, as she struggles to breathe.

This is just one dramatic storyline to come, as Corrie bosses say huge secrets will be revealed this Christmas and New Year.

A festive wedding has everyone excited, but as Emma prepares to marry her dream man she discovers Curtis is not all he seems.

Her heart is set on a big white wedding, will Emma be able to forgive the unforgivable or will Curtis be leaving Coronation Street without saying: “I do?”
