Kelly Neelan is set to be put in terrifying danger this week as she tries to right her father's wrongdoings on Coronation Street.
The ITV soap has been airing some big scenes for Millie Gibson - who plays Kelly - as of late, after she found out her father Rick Neelan had passed away, after her friend and huge support to her, Gary Windass ( Mikey North ), killed him.
With her mother also dead, Kelly inherited a load of money from her dad but after finding it all came about from his bad deeds, she has made it her mission to give back and pay back those who her father has done wrong.
However, she finds herself in a difficult situation this week, as she's imprisoned in a dark cellar.
Episodes airing on Friday night (July 15) will show Kelly being captured by her father's old client Kieron after she tries to find him to pay him back the money. She wants to return some of the cash she's found to his old foes, and help them but Gary is fuming.
He warns Kelly it's not the right thing to do, given how dangerous her dad's friends are, but she doesn't listen and decides to go head first into Weatherfield's criminal underworld and meets up with one of them.
A dramatic showdown between her and Kieron sees Kelly kidnapped and locked in a cellar, as she wonders whether this is it for her.
Millie Gibson, who plays Kelly, said: "Kelly is distraught. Every time she gets herself into these sorts of situations she feels like she has hit rock bottom, but then another situation comes around so it’s a constant cycle of awful situations for her.
"Kelly is fearing for her life, she knows what her dad was capable of so she is terrified of what his enemies could do."
A headstrong Kelly followed her own advice - and now she's in horrific danger. But will she make it out ok and if she does, what's next for the teenager? Does her dad's former clients have a score to settle?
