Coronation Street's pregnant Gemma Winter films new scenes ahead of labour drama

Coronation Street’s Gemma Winter could find her romantic holiday left in chaos, as the heavily pregnant character heads to Llandudno, Wales, with Chesney Brown.

Gemma, played by Dolly Rose Campbell, is expecting quadruplets very soon with her fella.

But amid claims of a dramatic labour planned for Gemma, there could be chaos on the way as they head off on their trip away from Weatherfield.

New pictures captured on location, during filming, show the pair on location in Great Orme as they prepare to take a cable car.

Gemma is sporting a huge baby bump for the scenes, as she leans closer towards her due date.

The mum-to-be wants to go on the ride, while Chesney, played by actor Sam Aston, doesn’t look so sure.

He’s right to be worried though, as it was reported weeks ago that Gemma was set to become trapped in a cable car.

It was claimed by The Sun Online that Gemma would go into labour in Wales in a car, which is up 80ft in the air.

Now, it’s likely the scenes could actually happen given their whereabouts, with the cast now filming the dramatic moment.

While the pictures show both characters on the ground, it’s thought they’ll end up getting the cable car leading to the worrying scenes.

Fans could even expect the episodes to air in a matter of weeks, with filming usually taking place five or six weeks before transmission.

However, the publication claims the scenes will actually air in December, and also suggests Gemma will not actually give birth in the vehicle.

Viewers will have to stay tuned to see how the storyline plays out, and watch the scenes in action.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
