Coronation Street's Gail Platt will be killer Stephen Reid's next victim, if she isn't careful.
The soap legend demands answers from her brother later this month, after she rumbles what appears to be a clear lie told by him.
Of course residents, including his family, remain in the dark about his recent shocking crime which saw him murder Leo Thompkins.
He's also in serious debt and currently trying to scam money out of people, including his mother Audrey Roberts.
After having a change of heart about drugging his mother, what his family are yet to learn is that he has no money to his name –despite him keeping up the pretence that he is still wealthy.
He's having to cover up his lack of money on top of the fact he is now a murderer, and the walls are beginning to close in on him.
Despite suspicions over his money for weeks, it's later this month that Gail finally confronts her sibling.
When she believes Stephen is hiding something, after he leaves a gift he has received from Elaine at her house, she takes action.
It's actually a possible misunderstanding, as David Platt, Gail's son, assumes the hip flask is a gift for his birthday – and brands it a very stingy present from someone who’s supposedly so wealthy.
Soon other members of the family are getting involved, as Gail spots Elaine buying a bottle of whisky for the hip flask she bought Stephen and she voices her suspicions to son Nick, who vows to get to the bottom of it.
Gail decides to contact Stephen's ex-wife Gabrielle, who fans know he owed money to after he stole from her.
When Gail confronts her brother, she reveals he’s got some explaining to do – but what has she discovered?
It comes as David actor Jack P Shepherd teased the Platts could turn on Stephen if he was to harm Audrey.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Jack teased that the Platts wouldn’t take too kindly to Stephen trying to hurt his own mother, and they could take action.
He explained: “If anybody crosses Audrey then you cross all of us. We don't want any harm to come to Audrey so we might have to sort of step in if he does hurt Audrey.“
On how David might react if the truth about Stephen’s killer antics and dodgy ways came to light, he went on: “Well I am getting suspicious, no-one else is. He did have some money problems but sort of sorted himself out a little bit…
“I think David will be the one to say to everyone, ‘I told you so, from the off I said he was bad news and no one believed me’.
“So David will be there for that but I don’t want him to uncover the truth because that sounds like he’d be on the chopping board.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
