Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine says fans may finally get a reunion between Fiz and Tyrone as her character’s relationship with Phill starts to unravel.
In scenes that air next week it emerges her new fella knows nothing about John Stape, her serial killer former husband, or that she stood trial for being his accomplice.
Fans had speculated Phill (James McKenna) is too good to be true and it turns out they might be right.
Jennie says that once Fiz discovers he’s also hiding a dark secret, it throws their relationship off track.
She adds: “The shine has definitely been knocked off, but she doesn’t want to be on her own.”
Phill’s shady behaviour is rumbled after Tyrone – who wants to win Fiz back – spots him handing over a mystery envelope to a man. Sensing he might be losing Fiz, Phill asks her to marry him.
“It would be nice for her to have a white wedding,” Jennie, 38, says. But she adds Fiz “would go back in a heartbeat” to Ty (Alan Halsall) if she can forgive his affair with Alina Pop.
