Coronation Street's Aaron's dad takes revenge as Amy exposes rape ordeal

Coronation Street will see Amy Barlow take to social media to expose her horrific rape ordeal - as Aaron's family hits back.

Amy was raped by Aaron Sandford back in February when she was too drunk to consent. He has always denied it was rape, and later insisted she wanted it as much as he did.

She has since been trying to get her life back on track after trying to report the incident to the police. However, she wasn't taken seriously and ended up taking back the allegation - but is understandably still struggling with what happened to her.

And in new episodes, Amy opens up about what happened after she spots Mia at the garage and tells her.

However, a shocked Mia accused her of making up the whole thing up but Amy assures Abi that she's telling the truth.

Mia later confronts Aaron over the allegations but he told her they slept together and Amy cried rape and later changed her mind, with the police dropping the case.

Mia returns to thinking Amy made the whole thing up and is disgusted at the idea of Amy dragging his name through the mud.

Later, Amy receives a call from DS Swain, who tells her that a serious allegation of harassment has been made against her.

She's furious over the injustice and writes up the whole ordeal in order to clear her name. Steve urges her to post what happened on social media and she does.

Everything hits the fan when Abi and Tyrone read the post and fire Aaron, leaving Eric desperate for revenge.

Eric calls at No.1 and announces that he’s suing Amy for libel. When Amy receives a letter from Eric’s solicitor ordering her to take down her post or they’ll sue, Steve advises her to stick to her guns but Dee Dee warns them that a libel case could end up costing them a fortune.

However, Tracy is adamant that they should fight the case.
