A Coronation Street newcomer is set to cause problems for Daisy Midgeley in the coming weeks.
The character has endured a turbulent time in Weatherfield as spoilers reveal she is set to have a health scare when she finds a lump on her breast. The health scare will cause problems in her relationship with Daniel Osbourne who will struggle to handle the news.
Soap stars Charlotte Jordan and Rob Mallard spoke to the ECHO and other press at the grand opening of Weatherfield Precinct. The actors revealed their relationship will overcome the rocky patch as Daniel will propose to Daisy.

However, Charlotte revealed her character will be rocked by a whole different matter when her mum arrives in Weatherfield. She said: "It's very fractured and distanced as she hadn't really had a relationship with her mum since she was young. It's been so many years and she's 26 now so it's not something where she is this ball of anger.
"She has accepted that this is the relationship and she's more of a nuisance because she pops up every now and then, doesn't really give her much, always tends to want something from her and then just clears off. It's more of a what do you want and why are you here."
Charlotte also said the new arrival will help viewers understand why her character connects with Daniel. She said: "It helps understand why she is spiky at times, why she does put up a front because she has had a lot of things go wrong in her life."
Charlotte revealed her mum will be named Christina, who will be played by Amy Robbins as she heaped praise on the performance. The praise was echoed by show producer Iain Macleod.
He told the Liverpool ECHO and other press: "Her mum is chaotic, selfish, hates Jenny [Bradley] and knows karate. The moment I clapped eyes on her audition tape, I just knew it was her. I've never known it to be quite so resounding quite so quickly."
Amy Robbins hails from Bebington and soap fans will recognise her from stints in Emmerdale as she played Defence Barrister Milligan in the long-running soap.
She is also the brother of comedian Ted Robbins and the first cousin once removed of the legendary Beatle, Paul McCartney.
