Coronation Street will air a special week of episodes next week, as a deadly car accident leaves lives on the line.
In a change to usual transmission times, the ITV soap will air half an hour episodes from Monday to Friday at 7.30pm, instead of the 8pm episodes Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The episodes will feature a flashforward and a flashback, with them set to have a completely different feel to the standard episodes.
The week focuses on the battle for baby Alfie's custody, as his parents Imran Habeeb and Abi Franklin's war intensifies.
Abi is determined to get her son back after he was recently placed into the care of Imran, after Abi was set up with Imran lying she was back on drugs.
Imran and partner Toyah have been looking after the baby, but Abi's ex Kevin Webster is keen to get back with her and help her get Alfie.
But it all takes a dark turn next week, when Imran and Toyah are left in grave danger as they're caught up in an accident.
With there said to be carnage on the Cobbles, it is thought there could be a surprise arrest as attentions turn to whether the accident was in fact deliberate.
It all kicks off with a flashforward of Imran leaving a chilling message for Toyah in which he reveals everything, and this airs in the first episode of the week.
Soon an accident occurs, with Toyah and Imran left lying unconscious in the wreckage.
Imran wakes up and pulls an injured Toyah from the car, and the pair are soon taken to hospital.
But questions are asked when the police suggest the crash wasn't an accident - with Abi and Kevin being grilled over their possible involvement.
Both characters are alarmed by the news of the crash, and even more so when they learn they could be suspects in what happened.
But with Abi and Imran at war, and Kevin having worked on the car, could one of them have been behind it?
All will be revealed at the end of the week in a flashback sequence, so viewers should stay tuned.
