Brian Packham first appeared in Coronation Street back in 2010, and has since become a fan favourite.
And a number of viewers were left taken aback to discover actor Peter Gunn's real age as he celebrates his birthday today (Monday). As well as being known for his Corrie role, Peter has also starred in Casualty, The Bill, and Heartbeat.
He has also appeared in a number of films, including Shakespeare adaptations.

His cobbles character Brian has been at the heart of a number of major storylines. Brian was formerly the headteacher of Bessie Street School, but he quit to take up a job in Wales, leaving partner Julie Carp behind. Later though, he returned to try to win her back.
An unromantic proposal soon happened, with Julie turning him down. Brian later returned to teaching, but was bullied by a deputy headteacher, and so quit and took over from Norris Cole at The Kabin in partnership with girlfriend Cathy Matthews.
Clearly keen to give Peter a birthday to remember, Coronation Street stars Barbara Knox, who plays Rita Tanner, and Mary Taylor actress Patti Clare brought him a birthday cake on set.
A post from the soap's official Instagram account shared a snap of the three actors, with Peter in the middle. The post was captioned: "Happy 60th birthday Peter Gunn! Thanks for making us smile every day. Have a great time celebrating".
Fans were quick to comment, with many saying they thought Peter was younger than he is. Carole said: "Wow, looking great for 60", while Lauren said: "60 looks good on him can't lie. Happy birthday, love him and his character". Stephen said: "Happy birthday mate, you don't look 60".
