Coronation Street fans were quick to praise the soap's 'powerful' scenes on Monday night.
But they were also just as quick to guess what the emotional moment between David Platt and Max Turner means next.
During the latest trip to the cobbles, Corrie viewers saw Max finally attend a consent workshop at Weatherfield High which is being run by Daniel Osbourne.
The additional lesson has been introduced following the shock upskirting drama with Max and Summer Spellman - which led to protests at the school led by Summer's pal, Amy Barlow.
Following the workshop, Daniel praised troublesome student Max for showing up and for being 'focused'.
When Max mentioned he had a 'personal stake' in attending, Daniel replied: "Because of David.." leaving the youngster confused.
Back at home, Max quizzed his dad on what Daniel meant, but David tried to cover it up.
After speaking with wife Shona, David did decide to sit Max down and tell him the truth.
Corrie fans will remember that David was spiked and raped in 2018 by mechanic Josh Tucker after a night out.
Viewers were surprised when David let Josh go after he finally admitted to drugging him after pretending he was turning him in to a police station.
Josh was eventually jailed for a string of male rapes and David was called as a witness for the prosecution to help put him behind bars.
It was the first time in the soap's then 57-year history that they tackled the sensitive subject of male rape.
Soap bosses worked with charity Survivors Manchester supporting male survivors of sexual abuse and rape on the storyline.
And on Monday night fans heaped praise on the soap and David star Jack P Shephard.
@AJ_TrueBlue tweeted: "So brave of David to tell Max his story. Nicely done @itvcorrie writers. #Corrie."
"That scene between David and Max has me close to tears. #corrie #coronationstreet #consent," @Caramcq said.
@gerry.faherty commented: "Handled brilliantly & delivered superbly by Jack."
"Both Actors where amazing. Yes thanks Corrie great writing incredible story line. Well done boys. Some happy stories for father & Son now please Corrie," @ brentan_60 wrote.
@julessoftiexo added: "Jack and paddy’s acting was absolutely outstanding tonight it really was incredible!! They both did so well are usual@jackpshepherd88 @paddybever your both amazing."
Amid all that, Corrie fans think they heard a soap first between Max and David.
@DonnaCarroll49 said: "I'm sure that's the first time, I've heard Max, call David dad or has he been doing it for a while and I didn't notice? #corrie."
"That the first time Max has called David 'Dad'? #Corrie," @itzzzo_ tweeted.
@MissGemmaTaylia noted: "Max called him Dad not ‘David’ #Corrie #coronationstreet."
"David having to tell Max about when he was raped… and him calling David 'Dad.' Please get this nominated for an award. #Corrie," @Evan_Slater02 shared.
But viewers think this may be the start of something after David didn't reveal his attacker - nor that he was drugged.
@CxxPIPxx said: "Why do I have a horrible feeling this confession of David's to Max is gonna backfire.. #Corrie."
"Max will take it out on Daniel, the shock will make him blame Daniel," Patsy predicted on Facebook.
@chrisb99_uk tweeted: "Really hoping Max doesn’t use this to humiliate David even more. Or weaponise it like the mutant he is #coronationstreet #corrie."
"Max will use that info in his own way. #Corrie," @gillyn4 added.
