Coronation Street fans spot huge makeup error between dramatic scenes

Eagle-eyed Coronation Street fans spotted a glaring makeup error during Monday's trip to the cobbles.

The week's first instalment of the long-running ITV soap featured dramatic scenes after Nina Lucas desperately searched the woods for her uncle Roy Cropper. The 20-year-old had slipped, banged her head and fallen into the river.

Brian managed to get into the water and pulls Nina's limp body out, and he and Asha called an ambulance.

Soap fans watched as Nina was thankfully sitting up in hospital on Monday night, but some viewers were distracted by her appearance. Taking to Twitter, Sarah said: "Nina's eye makeup game is strong for someone who just nearly died in water".

Suzi said: "How come Nina has been in the water but her makeup hasn’t run", while Roz said: "Want to know Nina's brand of amazing waterproof mascara", and Sue said: "Nina nearly drowned yet her eye make up is still immaculate".

Nina actress Mollie Gallagher will soon take a break from Coronation Street, as she swaps Weatherfield for "the greatest show on ice". The 25-year-old was confirmed for the 2023 series of Dancing on Ice last October.

She will joining the likes of EastEnders' Patsy Palmer and former footballer John Fashanu, as well as Love Island's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
